Delaware County 32-1-26 Magisterial District Court

It is okay that you are anxious about visiting the Delaware County Magisterial District. You or a loved one is set to appear in front of a judge.

A lot might be going through your mind, like the kind of fines or penalties you could be charged with. Maybe you are worried that the judge won’t give you a fair chance since he or she is nothing but a stranger.

Good lawyers understand what you are going through, especially ones who have experienced with cases like yours. Being accused of a criminal offence or a traffic violation is more common in this region than you might imagine. The right lawyer is going to be there to make things clear and answer questions if you have them.

The law offices of Amato T Sanita, Esq, is here to handle the cases that are brought up at Pennsylvania’s Magisterial Courts with experience that is worthy of your trust and care that’ll help clients feel safe.

This court is in Upper Darby, and you may have passed by the area dozens of times, but being summoned to appear in this court is something else. The summons, notification, or citation you received is going to tell you to appear at the Delaware County Magisterial District Court 32-1-26, so make sure you double-check the address before heading down there because there are a number of courts here. The court you want is run by Judge John J. Perfetti.

It is a few miles from downtown, so there may be some traffic on your way there. The court covers Aldan Borough, Clifton Heights Borough, and Lansdowne Borough.

The court you are summoned to usually handles traffic and non-traffic charges.

It also handles preliminary arraignments and preliminary hearings for all criminal cases. Civil disputes are handled here and so are landlord and renter issues. Just to let you know, all civil cases claims are limited in financial scope since only $12,000 can be claimed.

Magisterial District Courts

The state considers summary offences some of the least serious crimes, and they are decided in these courts.

A person caught harassing, conducting him or herself disorderly, drinking while underage, driving with a suspended license, or getting caught with less than $150 worth of stolen merchandise is going to end up here.

There are several of these courts, but they are all run by one magisterial judge who has the power to marry people or administer oaths when necessary. For those who want to know, there are 33 of these courts in this county.

All misdemeanors and felony cases start with a preliminary arraignment or hearing before they are bumped up the court system. The next step for many of those who are facing harsher charges is the Court of Common Pleas for this county.

No matter the kind of charge you are facing, a criminal offense lawyer who specializes in local law is important. Having a lawyer in this area means this lawyer is going to have connections with judges and other law enforcement personnel, which could end up helping you.

The law offices of Amato T Sanita, Esq, is going to provide the kind of lawyer who should be able to come up with a defense strategy that could improve your odds.

Remember that even summary offence convictions could lead to three to six months in jail, not to mention fines that could go up to $300. Give yourself or your loved one the best chance by contacting the right attorney to fight these charges. A conviction can change the course of anyone’s life, and it is usually not for the better.
